Lobworms - the original fishing bait

The Lobworm is the big juicy worm you find most often in your garden. This 4" long python of a bait is usually considered too large as a normal hook bait but in summer they can be a killer bait for those Tench who are beginning to tire of the usual sweetcorn or luncheon meat. Barbel love them too - so do Bream.

Lobworms are best kept in a pot with some damp moss or peat and used on that day.
