XT7 is a highly specialised mono specifically for hook lengths and rig making. Developed primarily with match and pole anglers, XT7 has the great strength and knot strength that you would expect from any Ultima product.

XT7 delivers very high linear and knot strength and has the same precise and consistent diameter as Ultima Xtreme

What makes XT7 unique is a fluorocarbon coating applied during the final stages of production. This coating has two purposes. First, it softens the line significantly, making it limper and so delivering better presentation in a competitive fishing situation. Second, it inhibits water absorption, preventing any deterioration in knot strength when the line is submerged. This means that the
very high knot strength is maintained at all times throughout it’s life
