Hello everyone,
Trust you are all well. Here is the fishing report for last week.
Fly Lake
Results were a little slow at the start of the week, but results have got better during the later part of the week and at weekend. Results have been a little variable, although having said that some anglers have done really well. Fritz, cats whisker and bloodworm have produced the best results. Some nice big rainbows and brownies have been caught this week.
Match/Pleasure Lake
This lake has proved to be quite steady this week. The match results over the weekend however proved very disappointing. The winning weight was only 9lb 8oz. During the middle of the week we had several anglers with 40lb plus bags of fish.
Main Lake - Pleasure fishing
Some lovely large bream have been caught this week. One angler caught half a dozen fair sized bream this week. All in all twelve high sized bream have been reported to our bailiffs. Reports of perch, roach, and plenty of skimmers have been reported. Best bait reported are maggots and sweetcorn.
Main Lake - Carp
Things have certainly slowed down this week if you compare it with the wonderful results of the week before. However the following carp have been caught.
29.8oz common, 28lb common, 21.2oz common, 15lb common, 10lb common, 14.4oz common, 12lb 3oz common, 8lb 9 oz mirror, 24lb common, 18lb 4oz mirror, 17lb common, 13lb 8oz common, 15lb oz common, 9lb 1oz common, 16lb 4oz common.
Lots of smaller carp have also been caught averaging around 5lb or so. The mainline baits have done well this week - maple 8, assassin 8, and active 8). The 29lb 8oz common came out on a Maple 8 and was caught by Jim Flemming from Rossendale. Jim was on on peg 89.
GENERAL ITEMS
As you know we have increased our bait and tackle lines to help make life easier for you. So many of our customers say it is difficult to buy bait over the weekend. If you would like us to stock any other items, please pass your comments on to one of our duty bailiffs.
You will have noticed that we have taken on some extra bailiffs over the last week or so. They are Andy and Nick. They have joined our regular team Tracey, Gary and Darren. We also have two other bailiffs that help out on odd weekends they are Ron and Alex.
Pendle View are exhibiting at the Lancashire Show at the end of the month. If you are at the show please pop along and say hello. We are in the piscotorial tent (usually alongside the river). I did the show last year and it was great fun. There are some lovely displays for fly fishermen.
Lastly, we can only do these reports if you let us know how our ponds have fished for you. Please drop into the office and let us know how its fished for you. The bailiff will then record this and this is what we use to get this report to you.
Hope you see you some time at Pendle View
best wishes
Lin at Pendle View
