Pendle View Fisheries - Fishing Report 20th Sept 2004

Hello everyone sorry this report is a day late. I had a few problems with my PC this week.

The weather has been pretty grim at Pendle View this week. Pleasure fishing has been a little slow.

Here is the weekly report.

Friday Peg 33/34 18lb mirror came out on tiger nut

Peg 65/66 13lb grass carp came out on source boilie

Sat and Sunday no carp reported. Early hours of Sunday morning at 26lb common came out on peg 24/25. No more details at this stage.

Main Lake (Pleasure fishing)

According to our bailiffs it has been a very slow week. Smaller fish have shown but fishing has been hard. Lots of bream have show but these have been caught on boilie.

Match Lake

Because of the high winds and awful weather not many anglers have fished the match lake. The one or two brave souls who have said it was hard going. There was a match on the lake on Sunday and the winning weight was 23lb. The angler fished peg 100.

Fly Lake

Here are the average catches for the week.

Monday 14.2

Tuesday 8.0

Wednesday 3.3

Thursday 7.0

Friday 3.6

Saturday 5.2

The biggest fish for the week was caught on Tuesday and was a 7lb rainbow.

Dawsons olives, floating fry, buzzers and bloodworm seem to be doing well. Results have not been as good as usual because it has been very windy at Pendle View this week.

JUST A QUICK REMINDER THAT WE PLAN TO START WORK ON THE TROUT LAKE ON THE 4TH OCTOBER (weather permitting).

Have a good week everyone.

best wishes
