Rod and Line test out ULTIMA Power Plus, Super Strong Monofilament Line

It's a hard job but someone has to do it ! - but I promised to go out and test their line under real (reel) fishing conditions, so I was FORCED to go out fishing - oh woe is me!! (NOT)

We all hear about how this is the new wonder line and that is the new supreme blah de blah, but this I had to say did absolutely everything they said it WOULD do. Obviously I couldn't test the abrasion resistance etc as this is a time-factor thing, but everything else they said about it I whole-heartedly agree with.

It was a dream to knot, and the knots held well. I could tell the difference in the stretch capabilities too, when I hooked into a nice Tench. There was enough give in the line without worrying about fragility should the fish do one of its many and spectacular lunges they are renowned for, but I felt in touch with the fish the whole time - MORE CONTROL....THAT'S WHAT THE FISHERMEN WANT !!!!!

Rod and Line gives this the thumbs up, and personally I will be using nothing else
